Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Lard
- 1 teaspoon Sea salt
- ¾ cup Warm water
Directions
- In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Incorporate lard until a sandy texture is achieved.
- Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until elastic.
- Divide the dough into 8 portions, form balls, and let rest covered with a damp cloth for 15 minutes.
- Roll out each portion with a rolling pin until thin circles of 20-25 cm are obtained.
- Heat griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for 1-2 minutes per side, looking for bubbles and browning.
- Stack the cooked tortillas and wrap them in a cloth to keep them warm and flexible.
