Ingredients
- 2 pieces Hot dog sausages
- 4 slices Smoked bacon slices
- ½ cup Cooked pinto beans
- ¼ cup White onion slices
- ¼ cup Small diced tomato
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
- 2 pieces Hot dog buns
- 1 tablespoon Neutral vegetable oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Pickled jalapeño slices
Directions
- Sauté the onion in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil until golden and caramelized. Set aside.
- Wrap each hot dog sausage with two slices of bacon. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.
- Cook the bacon-wrapped sausages over medium-high heat, turning constantly, until the bacon is crispy and the sausage is well-cooked. Approximately 10-12 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Lightly toast the hot dog buns.
- Assemble the hot dogs: fill the bun with the sausage, hot pinto beans, sautéed onion, diced tomato, and pickled jalapeños.
- Top with mayonnaise and mustard. Serve immediately.
