Ingredients
- 1 cup Long-grain rice
- 4 cups Whole milk
- ¾ cup Granulated sugar
- 1 piece Cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon (for garnish), al gusto
Directions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- Combine the rice, milk, sugar, cinnamon stick, and lemon zest in a pot.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low, partially cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
- Remove the cinnamon stick.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Serve warm or cold, sprinkled with ground cinnamon.
