Ingredients
- 500 grams Ripe guavas
- 1 liter Water
- 100 grams Piloncillo
- 1 piece Cinnamon stick
- 50 grams Cornstarch
- 250 milliliters Milk (optional)
Directions
- Wash and quarter the guavas.
- Boil the guavas with 750 ml of water and the cinnamon stick for 15 minutes.
- Strain the liquid, discarding the cinnamon and solids. Blend the cooked guavas with the remaining liquid and the piloncillo.
- Strain the blended mixture to obtain a smooth juice.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water.
- Heat the guava juice in a pot. Add the dissolved cornstarch and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- If using milk, add it at the end and heat without boiling. Serve hot.
