Ingredients
- 400 grams Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon Sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Make sure the shrimp are very dry for optimal browning.
- Thinly slice the garlic; uniformity is key for even cooking.
- Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and half of the sliced garlic.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Sauté the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, over medium heat, brown the remaining garlic until crisp and golden. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet. Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Sauté for 30 seconds to meld flavors.
- Serve immediately, ideally with white rice.
